Ein leidenschaftliches Album ohne Kompromisse. Das präsentieren The Midges mit »End Of Fireworks«. Aufgenommen und gemixt von Stef Hambrook in den Toybox Studios (Bristol, Großbritannien), melden sich The Midges mit 11 brandneuen Songs zurück. Der Musik von Bandgründer und Sänger Mario Leichsenring kann man sich nur schwer entziehen. Sie transportiert rauschartiges Schwelgen in Gefühlen und Visionen. Mal ungestüm und wild, mal träumerisch und zart, greifen die Kompositionen thematisch ineinander. Sie erzählen die Geschichte einer Seele am Abgrund, die noch einen Hauch Hoffnung in sich trägt.
Songs wie »Spring« vermitteln nicht nur pure Lebensfreude, sondern haben auch Ohrwurm-Charakter. Die bombastische Nummer »No Choice« oder die romantisch, verträumte Melodie »Julia Sleep Well« sind nur ein kleiner Ausschnitt aus dem vielseitigen Album mit absolutem Hitpotential. Mit dem fertigen Album ist die Berliner Band mehr als zufrieden. »Wir hatten eine Vision von »End Of Fireworks«, jetzt ist sie Realität!«, bekräftigt Mario Leichsenring, Frontmann und kreativer Kopf von The Midges.

The Midges present ‘End Of Fireworks’—a passionate album without compromises! Recorded and mixed by Stef Hambrook at Toybox Studios (Bristol, UK), The Midges are back from a long break with 11 brand new songs.
It’s hard to escape the music of founder and singer Mario Leichsenring, often conveying a delirious wallow in feelings and visions. The compositions—sometimes wild and vehement, sometimes dreamlike and tender—are interlinked in a special way. They tell a story of a soul’s movement along the abyss with just the last spark of hope left. Songs like ‘Spring’ not only communicate pure joy but are also incredibly catchy tunes. The muscular ‘No Choice’ or rather dreamy ‘Julia Sleep Well’ hint at the great versatility of an album with true hit potential. The band from Berlin is highly excited about the finished album. Frontman Mario Leichsenring confirms: ‘We had a vision of End Of Fireworks – now it is a reality!’.
